College Services and Regulations Chandler-Gilbert Community College Catalog and Student Handbook 2015-2016 54 Students applying for veterans benefits for the first time should allow four to six weeks before receiving benefits. The amount of benefits awarded is based on the number of credit hours attending and chapter of benefits. Those students receiving benefits must be following the Veterans Administration (VA) academic progress policy to continue to receive benefits.
