MCO - Mass Communications MCO120 / 3 CREDITS / 3 PERIODS MEDIA AND SOCIETY Study of historical and contemporary roles of media and its pervasiveness in society as it relates to culture, politics and education. Prerequisites: ENG101 or ENG107. MGT - Management MGT101 / 3 CREDITS / 3 PERIODS TECHNIQUES OF SUPERVISION Overview of the foundations of supervision and how to get things done within an organization through other people. The functions of planning, organizing, staffing, motivating and controlling presented. Prerequisites: None. MGT175 / 3 CREDITS / 3 PERIODS BUSINESS ORGANIZATION AND MANAGEMENT Covers basic principles of managing quality and performance in organizations. Covers management functions: planning, organizing, leading, and controlling. Emphasizes continual improvement, ethics, and social responsibility. Prerequisites: None. MGT229 / 3 CREDITS / 3 PERIODS MANAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP I Covers management concepts and applications for business, industry, and government organizations. Prerequisites: None.
