supplier news New cheese facilities in Wisconsin, Walkers brings Duchy Originals to the U.S. and more news WISCONSIN CHEESE PLANT BOOM Three new cheese plants will be con- structed in Wisconsin: a $44 million plant in Platteville, where Emmi Roth USA is expanding its operations to produce spe- cialty cheese; in Pulaski, where BelGioioso Cheese Inc. is building another facility to complement its five plants in the area, each of which specializes in a particular cheese; and in Thorp by Holland's Family Cheese LLC, which will be three times larger than the company's current plant in Thorp. Combs Produce Introduces Authentic Mexican Products Combs Produce, Dallas, has unveiled its Hispanic product line, Calidad (the Spanish word for quality). The new line includes seasonal produce items and year-round offer- ings, all imported from Mexico, like jala- peños, serrano peppers, poblano peppers, Anaheim peppers, tomatillos, roma tomatoes and avocados. NEW GREEK YOGURT SNACK BAR Natural Instincts LLC's Rickland Orchards has launched a Greek Yogurt Bar in six flavors. Made with honey-roasted granola and real fruit dipped in authentic strained Greek yogurt imported from Europe, variet- ies include Blueberri Acai, Cherri Almond, Toasted Coconut, Cranberry Almond, Apple & Honey and Orchard Peach. Savvy Foods Launches Chili Sauces Oklahoma City's Savvy Foods is introduc- ing a line of specialty condiments under the brand name Chameleon Chili Sauce. The product line has three flavors: Original, Red Pepper Lime and Chipotle. BOUTIQUE ICE CREAM MAKER GOES NATIONAL High Road Craft Ice Cream, Atlanta, Ga., a chef-owned and -operated manufac- turer of luxury-tier ice cream, gelato and sorbet, is launching nationwide at The Fresh Market. The retailer will offer flavors Bourbon Burnt Sugar, Vanilla Fleur de Sel. French Toast and New Pepper Jelly from The French Farm The French Farm, Houston, has introduced a new product from L'Epicurien, Espelette Chili Pepper Jelly. BAR HARBOR LOBSTER CO. BEGINS EXPANSION Seafood distributor Bar Harbor Lobster Co. Inc. will start work on a $2.2 mil- lion, 18,000-square-foot expansion in Orlando, Fla. The expansion will include a 10,000-square-foot freezer, a live-lobster holding facility and a receiv- ing dock. BRITISH SHORTBREAD COMING TO AMERICA Walkers Shortbread Inc., Hauppauge, N.Y., is launching in the United States Duchy Originals, a line of all-natural British shortbread cookies. Duchy Originals are made by the sustainable foods producer founded by Wales' Prince Charles. New Packaging for Cape Cod Provisions' Fruit Snacks Cape Cod Provisions, Pocasset, Mass., is now offering premium dark- and milk-chocolate– covered cranberries in its Harvest Sweets packaging. The all-natural treats were previ- ously available under the company's Cape Cod Cranberry Candy brand.
