Two-Thousand-Eleven was a tremendous season for Memphis Tiger men's soccer. Following a 5-11-1 season in 2010, the U of M posted one of the largest turnarounds in the country, going 11-6-1 this year. Head coach Richie Grant set the mark for most wins by a Memphis head coach when the Tigers defeated Wisconsin, 2-1, in Madison, Wisc., on September 11, 2011. He now has 118-career victories.
Memphis posted wins over two-ranked opponents, No. 18 Bradley and No. 10 UCF, on their way to a runner up finish in the Hotels at Grand Prairie Classic and a berth in the 2011 Conference USA Tournament, respectively.
