Hurley, who played every minute in goal, made an immediate impact for Memphis in his first season wearing the blue and gray. He posted six shutouts, the most since Sebastian Vecchio recorded 10 in 2004, and a 1.24 goals against average. Aſter notching a 3-0 shutout win over FIU, Hurley was named the Conference USA Defensive Player of the Week. The C-USA coaches voted Hurley to the All-Conference Third Team aſter Hurley finished the season ranked second in the conference in shutouts. Before coming to the U.S. to attend school, Hurley competed for and captained storied Irish prep program Colaiste Ide, the same program that has produced a number of star Tigers as well as head coach Richie Grant.
