Aſter a sensational season for the U of M, Sherrod was named Con- ference USA Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and All-Conference First Team. He led the nation in goals per game and ranked second in points per game, third in total goals and fourth in total points. Sherrod broke the school record for goals in a season, 19, and tied the record for points in a season, 42.
Sherrod was named the SoccerSavings.com/Soccer News Net Men's College Player of the Week following back-to-back hat tricks against Nebraska-Omaha and at Tulsa. In all, Sherrod earned four different national player of the week honors and was placed on five national teams of the week this year.
