Remco de Jong, a native of Amsterdam, Neth- erlands, completed his seventh season as volun- teer goalkeeping coach for the Tigers. de Jong is responsible for the development of Memphis' goalkeepers, including the Tigers' deep corps of keepers this season, Conor Hurley, Cody Uzcategui, Jordan Leedle and Matt Derrington. Under de Jong's guidance, Conor Hurley posted six shutouts on the season, the most for a Tiger goalkeeper since 2004.
Aſter a stellar playing career, including a U-18 Netherland National Championship, de Jong began coaching in 1996. He moved to the United States in 2001 and has continued his coaching career in the States.
