In 18 games, Collins racked up 11 assists, placing him in third place for the most assists in a season by a Memphis Tiger. He trails only Hall-of-Famer Dayton O'Brien (14 in 2004) and Rogerio Lima (12 assists in 1997) for the most assists in a single season. For his play, Collins earned the respect of the coaches as he was named Conference USA All-Conference First Team. The sophomore had two games where he recorded multiple assists, South Carolina and Nebraska-Omaha. In the contest against UNO, all three assists by Collins were on goals by Confer- ence USA Player of the Year Mark Sherrod. He tallied one goal on the season, the game-winner at Belmont.
