specialty food maker Ferrero International to Purchase Fannie May Italian confectionery group Ferrero International S.A. will acquire U.S.-based Fannie May Confections Brands, manufacturer of the Fannie May and Harry London brands, from 1-800-Flowers.com Inc. Under this agreement, Ferrero will include selected Ferrero and Fannie May products in 1-800-Flowers gift baskets, towers, and on its e-commerce sites. After the transaction closes, Fannie May will operate as a standalone entity and brand within Ferrero Group, which plans to operate Fannie May's plant in Ohio, as well as its Ohio and Illinois distribution centers. Ferrero also plans to maintain and grow Fannie May's network of 80 retail stores. The Andersons Buys Purity Foods The Andersons Inc. Grain Group, a supplier of food-grade wheat, corn, oats, and soybeans, has purchased Purity Foods Inc., with plans to expand into milling ancient grain products. DELICATO PURCHASES BLOSSOM HILL WINERY Delicato Family Vineyards has acquired Blossom Hill Winery in San Benito County, Calif. The acqui- sition adds about 4 million cases of annual capacity for Delicato, which produced 9.2 million cases in 2016. The transaction does not include any of the winery's brands. Delicato will change the Blossom Hill name to Alba Coast Winery. Milwaukee Family Market Changes Ownership Milwaukee Public Market's Nehring's Family Market has been sold to a longtime employee and will be con- verted to Foltz Family Market. Manager Ryan Foltz and his brother Casey Foltz, who owns the Puddlers Hall Tavern, are not planning many changes at the market, but plan to expand the pizza menu. YOUNGEVITY INTERNATIONAL PURCHASES PURPLE TEA PRODUCER RICOLIFE Youngevity International will acquire RicoLife, a producer of tea, coffee, cleanses, and ener- gy and slimming supplements.
